• Vision

    The Greene County School System encourages, challenges, and engages students in an educational process that fosters critical thinkers, lifelong learners, and responsible citizens to be prepared for college, a career and a globally interconnected world.

    Professional Development

    The division will provide staff development opportunities throughout the year during scheduled professional development days, workshops and conferences after school. Teachers and administrators will be permitted professional leave to attend educational conferences and workshops. Recertification points can be earned through participation in these activities.

    The Division has set goals for professional development for the 2016-16 school year in the areas of data analysis, technology, performance based assessments, curriculum guides, etc..This year, Mondays have been identified as professional development days to focus on these goals. The tentative schedule is below.
