• Access to Technology
Greene County Public Schools is dedicated to empowering our community’s children for life-long success by providing students with an education that focuses on the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to excel in a globally competitive world. Access to technology is essential for preparing all students to be successful in the 21st Century.

    Google for Education
Students in grades 3-12 are given a Greene County Schools Google account which includes Gmail plus a variety of applications provided by G Suite for Education. These applications include Google Docs, Slides, Sheets, Classroom and more. Google for Education provides a safe, secure environment for a student’s introduction into the world of the Internet. Our Google Administrators can modify security settings, providing the strictest, most secure settings for our younger students to a less restrictive environment for our high school seniors who are communicating with agencies outside of the District.
Students who log into their Google account when not on campus still have access to all of their files and schoolwork. All safety measures are still in place. This includes the GCPS filtering system and Google security settings.

    Greene County's Broadband Initiative
In March of 2017, the Greene County Board of Supervisors identified the expansion of quality broadband access and service throughout the County as a high priority within the County’s overall strategic plan. In order to facilitate this needed expansion, with a goal of reaching all areas of our County, we have assembled an interagency committee charged with the task of addressing this most important issue to our citizens, students, visitors, and business community.
