“Raising Caine” Recognition Program
9-year-old Caine Monroy spent his summer vacation building an elaborate DIY cardboard arcade inside his dad’s used auto parts store, and asked people to play. The entire summer went by, and Caine had yet to have a single customer, until one day, a filmmaker stopped to buy a door handle for his car, and became Caine’s first customer. What happened next was magic… watch the movie that launched a movement to foster imagination and creativity in kids everywhere!

The creativity, innovation, and excitement of Caine can be found in all children. As adults, it is our role to recognize, celebrate, and nurture it.
Our schools are filled with children like Caine as well as outstanding staff members that embody our beliefs: safety, student-centered, innovation, rigor, character, teamwork, community, communication, lifelong learning, and a focus on the positive. Each month, we will recognize staff members in our school system by awarding those who do things that deserve to be noticed.
Please take a minute to nominate those staff members whose inspiration, investment, and accomplishments benefit our children...those who are “Raising Caine”. Nomination Form
