Greene County Habitat for Humanity

 

(Stanardsville, VA) The Greene County Technical Education Center (GCTEC) is excited to announce that the house constructed by students in the Carpentry program has been purchased by the Greene County Habitat for Humanity. 

 

Students in the Carpentry program built the three bedroom, two-bathroom home over the course of two school years under the direction of course instructor Thomas Mallory. Upon completion, the Greene County Habitat for Humanity agreed to purchase the home. The organization will move the home to a property in Greene County at a later date.

 

Funds from the sale will be used to build the next house project in the Carpentry program at GCTEC. 

 

Members of the Greene County Habitat for Humanity will present the final check to Career and Technical Education Director Jess Peregoy, Instructor Thomas Mallory, and his students on Wednesday, August 31st at 2:00pm at the Greene County Technical Education Center located at 10415 Spotswood Trl, Stanardsville, Va 22973.
