Information on Vision & Hearing Screenings for Virtual Students

Dear Parents,

Greene County Public Schools remains committed to completing vision and hearing screenings for all virtual students in grades (K, 3rd, 7th, 10th) during the 2020-21 academic year. In order to maintain our mitigation strategies, we have established March 15 and May 10 as days when virtual students can complete these screenings, as these are asynchronous days for the entire school district which means only staff will be in our buildings.

Vision and hearing screenings will be held in the William Monroe High School cafeteria from 8:30am - 2:00pm on March 15 and May 10. Parents can sign-up for appointments using the Vision and Hearing Form. Please complete the form and select an appointment time for either March 15 or May 10. If you wish to opt-out of these screenings, please complete the form and select NO. This will provide us with the necessary opt-out information.

Students who have had a check-up with their primary care physician since June 14, that included vision and/or hearing screening, do not need to complete these screenings unless their PCP requests them to do so. If your PCP does not request an additional vision and hearing screening, please provide your school with the date of the screening and the results.
