This is Mrs. Garbers's second year as a Library Media Assistant at Nathanael Greene Elementary School. However, she is no stranger to the education field. Prior to working in the library, she was a substitute for 10 years. The children love coming to the library and having Mrs. Garber assist them in book selections. She has a wonderful attitude and the children like her. Mrs. Garber helps with two 5th grade literacy classes. She is a great resource for ideas that will work for helping children succeed.
Mrs. Garber grew up in in upstate New York, but graduated from JMU. After traveling up and down the East Coast with her family on vacations, she fell in love with this area, which reminded her of her where she originally lived. The only difference is the milder climate. She is married and has 2 girls in GCPS. Her family has 1 dog and 2 cats. She loves traveling, reading, kayaking, fishing, and cheering her girls at their swim meets.
