• Welcome - My name is Adam Midock and I am the proud principal of Nathanael Greene Elementary School.

The 2020-2021 school year provided us with challenges like no other previous school year. We persevered through COVID-19 related issues, scheduling challenges, virtual and in-person learning models, mask wearing, social distancing, and much, much more. That being said, we are proud that we were able to provide a five day-a-week in-person learning option for the entire school year. This allowed for us to maximize our instructional time, which was vital due to lost instructional days from the end of the previous year. With all of that said, we are excited to move on into the 2021-2022 school year. We will welcome most of our students back into the building and will continue to move closer towards normalcy in terms of instruction and academic experiences.

Maintaining student and staff safety, supporting the overall academic and behavioral growth of students, supporting the social-emotional learning needs of students, and strengthening our school and community partnerships will be our main goals for the 2021-2022 school year. These goals will be reinforced from day one with a return to a focus on academic, behavioral and social growth. We will also continue to be committed to creativity and personalized learning within our buildings through more hands-on and collaborative learning experiences. Our PBIS expectations will be in place but we will also focus additional efforts on the implementation of our guiding principles of the responsive classroom model.

The Responsive Classroom domains and guiding principles include:

    • Positive classroom community, developmentally responsive teaching and learning, effective management, and engaging academics.

The five school-wide PBIS guiding principles include the expectation to be:

    • Safe, Kind, Respectful, Responsible, and Ready to Learn

We look forward to collaborating with all stakeholders throughout the school year and to welcoming all students and staff back into the building. Please contact me or the school with any questions.

    Here's to a successful 2021-2022 school year!
