    Biography: Mrs. Lisa Morris

Hello, I'm teaching assistant Lisa Morris. In 1989 I became an employee of the Greene County Childcare Center. I was hired as a part-time assistant. I loved my after school job, and I quickly developed an interest in early childhood education. It was during my last two years of high school that I completed the early childhood education program at the Greene County Vo-Tech center.

In 1996 I received my Associate in Science Degree with a major in Education from Piedmont Virginia Community College. I also became a full-time classroom teacher at the Greene County Childcare Center. In the course of my employment as a head teacher, I completed many hours of in-service classes each year, had the responsibility of teaching 3-, 4-, and 5-year old children, and continued working with the school age program. One of my most important duties was to prepare the Pre-K aged children for kindergarten.

I am so excited about my eighth year as an assistant in kindergarten at Ruckersville Elementary. I look forward to learning more about education, and most importantly, I look forward to getting to know each child. I am happy to be working with Mrs. D'Agnese, the children, and their families. We can all work together to make this school year both positive and successful.
